Harc, Inc. provides lifelong support to individuals with intellectual and related disabilities and their families, enabling them to lead lives of quality, inclusion, and dignity. Their largest fundraiser of the year is their Harc Auction & Gala.

Problem
The onset of COVID-19 in 2020 forced Harc to cancel its in-person Auction & Gala, the organization’s largest and most well-attended fundraiser. The sudden shift posed several challenges:

Participation
Attendees and participants could no longer participate in traditional activities like dancing, bidding, or gathering in person.

Bidding Virtually
Without in-person assistance, many donors were uncertain about how to bid virtually.

Engagement
There were concerns about engagement: would people attend an event if it was entirely online?

Logistics & Execution
The team needed to determine how to structure and execute a virtual event while maintaining the excitement and purpose of the gala.
Solution
In collaboration with PowerStation Events, the Harc board, leadership, and the marketing team, created a dynamic and engaging online auction and gala.
